UNTOLD TALES OF THE ROUND TABLE
guidelines

Among the most famous legends in the Western world is that of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. The story can be traced back to the 12th century in writing, but oral traditions are much older, perhaps stretching back to Roman times in Britain. For our purposes, we want original stories based on the legend as related by Geoffrey of Monmouth and forward, to include Camelot and the Grail quest.
NB:We do not want stories in which Merlin is the central figure. The romance between Lancelot and Guenivere has been done to death as well, so please don't.
In short, avoid the trite and oft told tales. We want the adventures and exploits previously unknown. With such rich material on which to base your story, it shouldn't be too difficult. Just remember, magic in the context of the Round Table was secondary and rare. Fae folk, on the other hand, were fair game. Keep it clean in both language and romance. Failure to do so will disqualify the work.
